Welcome to the UQ Psychology Clinic

The UQ Psychology Clinic is an advanced training facility providing quality mental health services to the community. Treatment at the Clinic is provided by provisional psychologists and counselling students who are currently undertaking advanced postgraduate studies in psychology and counselling.

Current referral status

Our therapy and assessment waitlists are currently closed, and we are not accepting new referrals at this time. Both waitlists are scheduled to reopen on 8 February 2027.

Referral forms are currently inactive and cannot be submitted at this time.

If you are seeking services before February 2027, we recommend speaking with your treating doctor for alternative referral options.

Purpose

To provide support and strategies for emotional, interpersonal or behavioural issues

To understand cognitive strengths, weaknesses, or concerns

Involves

Ongoing sessions (weekly/fortnightly)

3-6 structured sessions including interview, testing, and feedback

Focus areas

Mental health, relationships, wellbeing

Learning difficulties, giftedness, memory, focus, cognitive changes, ADHD and ASD.

Outcome

Better self-understanding and practical tools to manage emotions and cope with challenges

Written report with findings and recommendations
